Eleven dead, 22 injured, three missing in Chernihiv after Russian missile strike – Interior Minister

Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko has announced 11 dead, 22 injured and three missing as a result of a missile attack by Russian occupiers on Chernihiv on Wednesday morning.

"Emergency services are eliminating the consequences of rocket attacks on the city. There are eleven dead, 22 injured as of now. There are reports of at least three missing persons. There are more people under the rubble," Klmyenko wrote on Telegram.

According to him, as a result of Russian shelling, there is a 25-year-old woman, a police lieutenant among the dead. "The woman lived in the next house, was at home on a sick leave. She received fatal shrapnel wound," the Interior Minister wrote.

Klymenko said that the search and rescue operation at the site of the strike is continuing, psychologists are working with the victims.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced ten dead and 20 injured in Chernihiv as a result of a Russian missile strike. Many multi-storey residential buildings, civil infrastructure were damaged in the city, dozens of cars were destroyed.
