Zelenskyy, Mitsotakis in Odesa hear military command's briefing on security situation, discuss strengthening air defense

 President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis, during a visit to Odesa, heard a briefing from the military command on the current security situation in Odesa region and on the southern sector of the front, as well as on measures to counter the Russian fleet.

According to Zelenskyy's press service, the leaders also heard information about the consequences of Russian air strikes on populated areas and critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.

Separately, the military command informed Zelenskyy and Mitsotakis about ensuring the operation of the grain corridor and Ukraine's support for global food security, despite all Russia's attempts to block shipping in the Black Sea.

The Ukrainian side conveyed information to the Greek side about the need to strengthen air defense to protect the sky, in particular in Odesa region.

The special briefing was attended by Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksiy Neizhpapa, Commander of the Air Force Mykola Oleschuk, Commander of Odesa operational group of forces Mykhailo Drapaty, Commander of Marine Corps group Andriy Hnatov.
