The steps to implement the bilateral security agreement between Ukraine and the United Kingdom, signed in January 2024, as well as the involvement of the United Kingdom in a number of projects were discussed by head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and Adviser to Prime Minister of Great Britain on national security issues Timothy Barrow during a conversation held in video format.

"As part of the ongoing dialogue with allies, head of the President’s Office of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, held a video conversation with adviser to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain on national security issues, Timothy Barrow," the press service of the President of Ukraine said on its official website on Thursday.

The parties reportedly discussed preparations for the first Global Peace Summit at the level of leaders of states and governments, which is to be held in Switzerland.

Yermak and Barrow also discussed steps to implement the bilateral security agreement prepared within the framework of the G7 Joint Declaration and signed by the leaders of Ukraine and the United Kingdom during the visit of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to Kyiv in January 2024. The Head of the President’s Office noted that Ukraine is interested in involving the UK in a number of projects," the message reads.

As reported, the head of the President's Office also expressed gratitude to "Timothy Barrow, the government and the entire people of Great Britain for their support and assistance in protecting the freedom and independence of Ukraine and common democratic values in Europe."
