Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk discussed with Marshal of the Sejm of Poland Szymon Hołownia the role of parliaments in solving the problem that has arisen on the Ukrainian-Polish border in connection with the blocking of Ukrainian truckers by the Poles.

"First of all, we discussed the situation on the Ukrainian-Polish border and the role of parliaments in this problem. I emphasized that Ukraine largely depends on the supply of road and rail transport. Blocking the border in conditions of war is a bad signal and an absolutely counterproductive solution," Stefanchuk wrote on Facebook on Thursday after the meeting.

The chairman of the Ukrainian parliament said that it is extremely important to solve this problem as soon as possible.

"Ukraine is open to professional dialogue to remove all concerns of Polish farmers or truckers," Stefanchuk said.

As reported, Stefanchuk is on a two-day working visit to participate in the summit of speakers of parliaments of the Visegrad Group + Ukraine countries.
