Belgium to transfer F-16 to Ukraine by 2025 – De Croo
Belgian Prime Minister Alexander de Croo says his country will transfer the F-16 to Ukraine by 2025.
He said this in Warsaw on Friday during a joint press statement with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
"Belgium is part of the F-16 Coalition - we are providing training opportunities (for Ukrainian specialists) now. And we will be able to provide Ukraine with F16 by 2025," de Croo said.
He assured that Belgium, within the framework of its EU presidency, "will do everything possible to further support Ukraine on its path to victory."
Recalling the 13th package of sanctions for Russia adopted this Friday, de Croo stressed that this "once again shows that the 27 EU member states are united in our support for Ukraine."
