Russia's military advantage is based only on the devaluation of human life, and Putin's self-isolation has led to its degradation, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy said on Saturday, speaking at the Munich Security Conference.

“Russia has only one purely military superiority at the present time, namely, the complete devaluation of human life. Constant Russian ‘meat assaults’ prove this,” he said.

According to him, “international condonation of the lack of the rule of law in Russia after 1991 and Putin’s policy of managed poverty have led to the fact that human life is worthless to the Russian state.”

“In addition to this, Putin’s many years of self-isolation and his impunity led to his complete degradation. He openly justifies Hitler, absolving him of responsibility for World War II. He made the genocide of our people simply a simple part of his own policies. Putin kills whomever he wants - be it the leader of the opposition or anyone else who seems to be his target. After the murder of Oleksiy Navalny, it is simply absurd to perceive Putin as the supposedly legitimate head of the Russian state. This is a scumbag who maintains power through deception, corruption and violence,” the president said.

“You can have different attitudes towards international institutions, but the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant for Putin in the case of the abduction and forced deportation of children from Ukraine obviously demonstrates where Putin’s so-called ‘career’ should end. He has only two options ahead - to end up in the dock in The Hague or to be killed by one of his henchmen who are now killing for him,” he said.
