Drones of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) attacked two oil refineries in Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation – Ilsky and Afipsky refineries, an informed source told Interfax-Ukraine.

"The SBU attacks on Russian refineries continue. This time, the Service's drones hit two refineries in Krasnodar Territory at once – not only Ilsky, but also Afipsky," the agency's interlocutor said on Friday.

Speaking about the results of the attack on the Ilsky refinery, the source noted: "A large fire broke out, a primary processing plant with a capacity of 3.6 million tonnes per year was hit. And without it, the enemy will not be able to produce diesel fuel for military needs."

At the same time, he clarified that the price of such an installation is $50 million

"At the Afipsky plant, the drones also worked out aptly, the consequences are being clarified," the source informed.

According to him, both objects are located at a distance of about 20 km from each other. The Russians were even forced to take planes into the sky, but this did not help protect important refineries.

According to the agency interlocutor, such plants are legitimate targets. They not only work for the defense industry and provide fuel to Russian troops, but are important for the Russian economy.

In October 2023, the SBU successfully attacked the Afipsky refinery with drones, which produced millions of tonnes of aviation fuel for enemy aircraft.
