The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) has provided communities in Kherson and Zaporizhia regions with four laundry and shower trailers.

"Recently, four mobile laundry and shower units of Ukrainian production were officially transferred to the communities of Kherson and Zaporizhia regions to be used by our citizens. In addition, the maintenance personnel received training," the URCS said on Facebook on Tuesday.

In its activities, the URCS cooperates with domestic manufacturers, and mobile laundry and shower units were not an exception – they were produces in Ukraine by Defense Auto LLC.

Many settlements in Kherson, Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk region have faced problems with water supply after the blowing up of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant dam by the Russian occupation forces. Therefore, the URCS focused on the implementation of the idea of delivering mobile units to the territories where the infrastructure was damaged in order to satisfy hygiene needs of the locals.

"Providing for the basic needs of Ukrainian citizens in wartime is in constant focus of attention of the Ukrainian Red Cross," it said.
