Yermak, Rasmussen inform Zelenskyy about plans to create intl working group on security, Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a meeting with the 12th Secretary General of NATO, founder of Rasmussen Global, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, who is paying a visit to Ukraine.

According to the press service of the head of the Ukrainian state, Zelenskyy thanked Rasmussen for his attention to the issues of security and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.

The President also noted the importance of the Joint Declaration on Support for Ukraine, approved by the G7 member countries at the NATO summit in Vilnius and stressed the need for bilateral agreements on security obligations in accordance with this declaration.

"I am grateful to the group you and Andriy Yermak established for their help in drafting the Kyiv Security Compact, which formed the basis of the Vilnius Declaration and provides for such significant security commitments. We already have the first results: a very important security document has been signed with the UK. The work with other states is ongoing. I hope to see the result in the nearest future," the President noted.

In turn, Rasmussen noted the efforts of the head of the Ukrainian state, thanks to which the situation in Ukraine remains at the top of the world agenda.

Head of the President’s Office Yermak and Rasmussen informed the President about plans to create an international working group on security and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.

"Zelenskyy expressed hope that this working group will contribute to the integration of our country into the Euro-Atlantic security space. According to him, Ukraine, as a future NATO member, will be able to significantly strengthen the Alliance's potential, since the Ukrainian army has invaluable experience in waging a full-scale war against Russia," the message reads.
