Zelensky: Any trip abroad by govt officials must comply with NSDC’s decision

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky again stated that any departure abroad of state officials and deputies must comply with the decision of the NSDC.

“Any trip abroad by government officials, MPs, representatives of local authorities and other persons authorized to perform the functions of the state or local self-government, any of their trips abroad must comply with the relevant decision of the National Security and Defense Council, which you have all seen,” he said in a video message on Thursday, adding: “There will be no other trips abroad by officials or MPs in wartime. I think this is fair.

On Thursday evening, head of the Servant of the People party Olena Shuliak announced the exclusion of MP Mykola Tyschenko from the political force.

His expulsion followed information published in the media that on January 27, Tyschenko planned to hold a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian community in Bangkok at the Novotel hotel to "discuss issues of improving cooperation."

This information was confirmed by the press service of the Embassy of Ukraine in Thailand. At the same time, according to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, deputies and civil servants during martial law can travel outside the country exclusively on official business trips.

Later, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk said that he had not signed an order on Tyschenko's business trip to Thailand.
