The fifth President of Ukraine, MP (the European Solidarity parliamentary faction) Petro Poroshenko, called on the Persian Gulf states to increase oil and gas supply to the world market on Al Jazeera TV.

According to the press service of European Solidarity, Poroshenko said that it is necessary to immediately impose an oil embargo against Russia as an aggressor state.

"Now the Arabic world also has its own role, because now, when we ask about the embargo for the Russian oil and gas, all the Persian Gulf countries has an opportunity to increase oil and gas supply to the world market. And this is the exactly what we are looking for from you," he said.

He also said that the sooner the Russian invasion of Ukraine is stopped, the less global risks of a food crisis will be.

"This will help us not to allow the food crisis and stop the danger to food security. And it will also help us to keep oil prices and the embargo on Russian oil and gas… It is really immoral when it is billions of dollars every week that Europe and the world pay to Russia, financing the killing of Ukrainians," the fifth president said.
