Nine European countries have decided to close their own airspace for Russian civil aviation aircraft, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine said on its Telegram channel.

"We have already applied to the International Air Transport Organization (IATA) with a request to support Ukraine's appeal regarding the exclusion of Russian air carriers from all association institutions. It is about BSP, Clearing House, MITA, Interline," it says.

Currently, the team of the Ministry of Infrastructure, in close communication with European partners, is working on the application of maximum sanctions for the aggressor.

"I am very grateful to Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria, Slovenia for the decision to close their own airspace for Russian aircraft. These are the steps that allow inducing the aggressor to peace. And finally, from all allies of the anti-Putin coalition and Ukrainian dispatchers: "Russian plane, get the fuck outta here," said Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov.
