Investigation into Tymoshenko's case completed, no need to arrest her, says PGO

There is no need to arrest Ukraine's former Prime Minister and leader of the Batkivschyna party Yulia Tymoshenko, First Deputy Prosecutor General Renat Kuzmin has said.

"The investigation into the criminal case against Tymoshenko (on charges of abuse of power while signing of gas contracts) has been virtually completed. There is no need to arrest her," Kuzmin said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Kuzmin also said Tymoshenko is not expected to be arrested. "The investigator has no plans to arrest her and put her in a detention facility," he said.
