No systemic violations happened on the voting day and overnight, according to the Ukrainian Central Elections Commission (CEC).

"There were no systemic violations on the voting day and on the night after the ballot, when district elections commissions were counting votes," CEC head Tetiana Slipachuk said at the agency press briefing on Monday morning.

Numerous observers, representatives, and designees of candidates made "a calm estimation of preliminary results" possible, she said.

"Systems are operational, and cybersecurity has been ensured as intended," Slipachuk said.

Obviously, Ukraine will have a runoff election, so the CEC sets an ambitious goal of accomplishing preparations within a few weeks, she said.

"I think we should start preparing for the vote [due on April 21]. I think the count of votes will go well, just like the ballot did," CEC first deputy head Yevhen Radchenko said, for his part.

The first round of the Ukrainian presidential election took place on Sunday, March 31. The runoff election is scheduled to take place on April 21.
