Seven political parties could be elected to parliament, two have good chances

The Batkivshchyna (Fatherland) Party currently has the best rating among the political parties in Ukraine, according to findings of a Rating sociological group poll conducted from July 20 through August 3, 2018.

When asked which party respondents would vote in the event of holding parliament elections on the next Sunday, 19.5% of respondents from among those who intend to vote chose Batkivshchyna, followed by the Opposition Bloc with 11.4%, the Civil Position Party with 11.2%, the Servant of the People Party with 10.5%, and the For Life Party with 7.2%, the Radical Party with 7% and the Poroshenko Bloc Solidarity with 6.5%.

Other political parties would not overcome the current 5% barrier, although Samopomich with 4.3% and Svoboda with 4.1% still have a chance.

Only 2.5% of respondents are ready to vote for the Agrarian Party, and the rating of other parties is less than 2%. Almost one in six respondents was undecided.

Batkivshchyna and Poroshenko Bloc have relatively better indicators in all the macro regions of the country, with the exception of eastern regions, while the Civil Position Party is more supported in the western and central regions of Ukraine. The Opposition Bloc and the For Life have strong positions in southern and eastern regions, while the Radical Party and the Servant of the People Party are more popular in central and southern regions. Samopomich and Svoboda are most popular in western regions.

The willingness to participate in the parliamentary elections is lower than in the presidential elections: 46% of respondents are clearly going to vote, yet every fourth is more likely than not.

The survey was conducted by the Rating sociological group from July 20 to August 3, 2018. The study covered the entire adult population of Ukraine using a representative sample based on age, gender, region and type of residence. Some 2,000 persons took part. The survey's margin of error is no more than 2.2%.
