PM complains of 3G communications quality, instructs regulator to check operators

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman believes that the quality of 3G mobile communications in Ukraine is unsatisfactory, and he instructed the National Commission for Communications and Informatization Regulation (NCCR) to conduct checks.

"They rushed for 4G that they lost 3G somewhere on the way. I ask to include the instruction of the government into the minutes and asked the NCCR to make probes how operators work… Do not intend any offense. We will say the truth," he said.

Groysman said that the quality of communication in the country significantly worsened.

"If someone says that this is the transition period from 3G to 4G – OK, I agree. Then make it free of charge. Why should you solve your technical problems at the expense of consumers," the prime minister said.

After studying the situation a report on the state of the mobile communications in Ukraine will be drawn up.
