The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided that the payment of recalculated pensions to officers and rank-and-file of interior bodies for the period from 2016 to 2017 will be made from January 2019.

According to government resolution No. 103 of February 21, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to transfer pensions accrued from January 1, 2016 to these persons, taking into account the corresponding salaries for the post, special rank, length of service, monthly additional types of cash and bonuses for January 2016.

These pensions will be paid from January 1 this year.

At the same time, the amount of these pensions for payment for the period from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2017 will be paid after the allocation of funds for their financing from the state budget.

The document foresees the following procedure for the payment of these pensions: from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019 - monthly by a separate amount of 50% of the difference between the monthly size of the increased pension and the monthly amount of the pension received for the period from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2017.

Starting from January 1, 2020, payment will be made monthly by a separate amount equal to 100% of the difference between the monthly amount of the increased pension and the pension received for the period from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2017, until full payment of the calculated amount is made.

As reported, on February 21, the Cabinet of Ministers increased pensions to servicemen by an average of UAH 1,500 from January 1, 2018.
