The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ukraine has sent a note to the Foreign Ministry of Russia stating that it will be impossible to organize the Russian presidential elections in the diplomatic mission of this country on the territory of Ukraine in case of holding these elections in the territory of the occupied Crimea.

"We've sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation: 1. A resolute protest against the presidential elections in the occupied Crimea. 2. A warning against the attempts to organize elections in the occupied Donbas. 3. They noted that there cannot be any election in the diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine without the full compliance with the first two conditions," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin wrote on Twitter on Friday evening.

At the same time, he added that the Ukrainian side will work to ensure that all those involved in the organization of the presidential elections in Crimea be put under sanctions.

"We will work to ensure that all those involved in the presidential elections in the occupied territory of Crimea are put under appropriate sanctions," Klimkin wrote
