Presidential administration denies alleged involvement of Poroshenko in plane taking Saakashvili to Poland
A statement voiced shortly before by parliamentarian Ihor Lutsenko about the alleged belonging of the plane on which ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili was taken from Kyiv to Poland, to President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, is a fake, head of the information policy department of the presidential administration Volodymyr Horkovenko said.
"An MP Ihor Lutsenko attributed to Petro Poroshenko the plane that deported Mikheil Saakashvili to Poland. I want to officially inform and urge journalists to check information and not replicate this primitive fake. This aircraft is as far from Poroshenko as the ex-president of Georgia from his homeland," he wrote on his Facebook page in the early hours of Tuesday.
Horkovenko also added that the Ukrainian government saved Saakashvili from the Georgian justice, which sentenced its third president to three years of imprisonment.
