Burbak proposes Rada appeal to intl community due to illegal preparation of presidential elections in Crimea, Sevastopol

The Verkhovna Rada has registered a draft resolution on the appeal of the Verkhovna Rada to the international community in connection with the illegal preparation of presidential elections in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine - Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

The initiator of this draft resolution (No. 7546) is the leader of the People's Front faction Maksym Burbak. The document was received by the parliament and submitted to leadership on February 5.

The text of the legislative initiative is missing.

The election of the president of the Russian Federation is scheduled for March 18.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is considering Russia's request to open four polling stations on the territory of Ukraine for the presidential elections in Russia. The request concerned the opening of polling stations in the premises of the Russian Embassy in Ukraine (Kyiv) and the general consulates of the Russian Federation in Lviv, Odesa and Kharkiv.
