On Thursday, a meeting of the Ukrainian liberated hostages with U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker and U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch took place in Kyiv, First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's representative in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group for the settlement of the situation in Donbas, Iryna Gerashchenko, has said.

"It is very important that our American partners heard firsthand the truth about torture and bullying, forced labor, when the hostages were forced to sift through remains of the Donetsk airport, the lack of access to medicine, the ban on calling relatives, the ICRC's non-admission to hostages," Gerashchenko wrote on her Facebook page on Thursday afternoon.

At the same time, she stressed that "the key topic of the meeting is the release of all those who remain in the prisons of the ORDLO and Russian prisons."

According to the representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup of the TCG, the liberated soldiers handed over the U.S. partners a letter from hostage families that remain in prisons.

"They asked us to make every effort to get everyone out," Gerashchenko said.
