Group of rescued Ukrainians, bodies of killed in Kabul terrorist attack to be sent to Ukraine on Wed

The bodies of the killed citizens of Ukraine as a result of the terrorist attack in Kabul (Afghanistan), as well as the rescued Ukrainians will be sent to Ukraine on Wednesday, January 24, at 13:00 by the plane of the 'Ukrainian Wings', Ukrainian Ambassador to Tajikistan and Afghanistan Viktor Nikitiuk said.

"The confirmed information about the killed Ukrainians remains unchanged: seven of our compatriots were killed... The consul provides the necessary assistance to the victims. He is now in Kabul, preparing to send them to Ukraine. According to the information that we have for the time being, it is envisaged that our citizens will be able to fly home tomorrow at 13:00, and, as provided, the bodies will be sent by the same flight," he said on the air of the 112.Ukraine TV channel on Tuesday.

According to him, the special flight, which will take the rescued citizens of Ukraine, and the bodies of the deceased and transfer everyone to Kyiv, is organized by the 'Ukrainian Wings.'

At the same time, the bodies of two more dead employees of the URGA international joint-stock air company can be delivered by plane directly to Kropyvnytsky - this issue will be resolved during Tuesday.

The ambassador also noted that part of the rescued Ukrainians, as it was envisaged, returned to Ukraine on Tuesday, January 23, by regular airplanes.

"As for the special flight, which is organized for tomorrow, we are talking about the return of about ten of our rescued compatriots, but this figure can be specified," Nikitiuk said.
