Kyiv stands ready for any scenario of developments in Donbas, as he has taken some steps to build up the Ukrainian group of forces in the region, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.

At a meeting with members of the First December initiative group and other members of Ukrainian intelligentsia Poroshenko "said that he had taken resolute steps to reinforce the Ukrainian group of forces in Donbas," the Ukrainian presidential press service reported on Wednesday evening.

"We stand ready for any scenario," the head of state said, noting that he is convinced of the strength of the Ukrainian troops.
