Businessman Petro Dyminsky, who is suspected of committing a fatal road accident in Lviv region on August 18, 2017, will be placed on the international wanted list if he does not return to Ukraine for testimony, People's Front MP Anton Gerashchenko, who serves as an adviser to the interior minister, has said.

"This is not a political case. There should be no issues here," he said live on the 112 Ukraine television channel late on Tuesday, December 13.

"Interpol should currently search for Dyminsky after receiving information from Ukraine. This is criminal prosecution under Article 286, Paragraph 2 – a road accident that caused the death of a person," he said.

Gerashchenko also said that the prosecutor's office established that Dyminsky was behind the wheel at the time of the accident.

He recommended that the businessman return to Ukraine and come to interrogation as a suspect.

"If he did it as decent people do in this situation, the decision would be as soft as possible," he notes.

He also said that if Dyminsky does not return to Ukraine, he will be put on the international wanted list.

"And then, when he wants to fly to some airport or cross a certain border, he will be in Interpol's database," Gerashchenko said.

As reported, on August 18, a car from a motorcade of a businessman and owner of FC Karpaty Lviv, Dyminsky, crashed into an Opel, which was driven by 31-year-old Natalia Trila. The woman died in the accident. Her relatives said that it was businessman Dyminsky who was driving the Mercedes.
