The Federation of Employers of Ukraine has said that a new type of illegal seizures has appeared in Ukraine.

"A new type of illegal seizure – private associations – has appeared. For example, International Anti-Corruption Court. There is a non-governmental association which using frame-up is achieving the opening of criminal cases against companies. Then it sends relevant applications to the authorized agencies of other countries," Director General of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine Ruslan Ilyichev said at a government meeting on Wednesday.

The steps are made by these associations when companies refuse paying membership fees.

Ilyichevv said that at present five or seven Ukrainian companies faced this type of illegal seizure.

"In the situation with Borschahivka chemical and pharmaceutical plant requests to all medicinal services where Ukraine exports medicines were sent. They say that the enterprise is unfair and makes counterfeit products. For example, export of medicines to Vietnam has been blocked for 30 days," he said.

He said that in these cases there are no schemes to influence these associations and it is hard to prove that the enterprise is stable and produces good products.

Borschahivka chemical and pharmaceutical plant is a member of the Association Manufacturers of Medications of Ukraine.
