Espreso.TV co-owner expects sale of channel to entrepreneur Zhevaho

The people's deputy, the majority shareholder of Ferrexpo mining company and the owner of Finance and Credit financial and industrial group, Kostiantyn Zhevaho, wants to buy Espreso.TV channel, among the co-owners of which are former Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and the wives of Interior Minister Arsen Avakov and People's Deputy Mykola Kniazhytsky, Inna Avakova and Larysa Kniazhytska.

"The channel, in principle, is profitable due to the fact that we host advertising of enterprises associated with one of the groups - this is a group close to entrepreneur Kostiantyn Zhevaho. And he wants to buy our channel and I think that this will happen, he will buy it," Mykola Kniazhytsky said on the air of the HARD with Vlaschenko program on ZIK channel.

According to the people's deputy, Zhevaho will benefit from such a purchase because he advertises his goods on it, and this is profitable for the channel.

Kniazhytsky stressed the channel "is profitable transparently - all advertising is seen on the air and no one carries money in suitcases", however "it is not profitable in the free market."

The MP also noted that neither Yatsenyuk nor Avakov interfere in the policy of the channel.

"The policy of the channel is determined by the editorial board under certain ethical rules: there is a conflict of interests, since politicians are founders," he said.

Espreso.TV channel was created in autumn 2013. Its founders were Larysa Kniazhytska and former editor-in-chief of the Comments weekly Vadym Denysenko.
