More than half of all complaints about purchases filed by five firms - Poroshenko
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has stated that more than half of complaints about electronic procurement procedures come from five firms.
"Strangely, more than 50% of all complaints [in the course of electronic purchases] are filed by five firms. This is already a profession," he said during a general meeting with businesses in Kyiv.
According to him, Ukraine appealed to EBRD experts to verify the proposed anti-corruption technologies in electronic procurement.
The head of state also noted the importance of implementing small-scale privatization through the electronic platforms of the ProZorro electronic procurement system.
As reported, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, to counteract the abuse of the mechanism of contesting the results of tenders with a view to disrupting purchases, proposes to set a fee for contesting tenders as a percentage of the expected purchase price.
