Reward of UAH 100,000 to be awarded for info about deputy Samarsky murder

 A reward of UAH 100,000 has been assigned for the information that will help law enforcement officers solve the murder of a deputy of the Severodonetsk City Council, Serhiy Samarsky, Tetiana Pogukay, head of the public relations department of the National Police of Ukraine in Luhansk region, has said.

"Dear citizens, the fund of MP Serhiy Shakhov has appointed the award in the amount of UAH 100,000 for information about the murder of Serhiy Samarsky," she said on her Facebook page on Saturday.

"If you know of any facts or information that will help law enforcement agencies solve the murder of Serhiy Samarsky, call 050 257 5631," Pogukay wrote.

The Main Directorate of the National Police in Luhansk region expresses gratitude to the People's Deputy of Ukraine Serhiy Shakhov for his readiness to help the investigation in revealing the resonant murder of the deputy of the Severodonetsk City Council, Serhiy Samarsky.

As reported, Samarsky was killed late on November 2. Samarsky's body with signs of violent death was found at about 00.20 on November 3. Criminal proceedings were launched under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (premeditated murder).

Investigators are considering all scenarios behind the deputy's murder, and his political activity is a priority scenario. The scenario related to robbery and business interests before his deputy work is also being worked out.

Deputy Minister for Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons Heorhiy Tuka, in turn, said that business and political activity were probable scenarios behind Samarsky's murder.
