Volker, Surkov to meet in Belgrade on Nov13

Special Representative of the U.S. Department of State for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker has said that he will meet with Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov in Belgrade (Serbia) on November 13 to discuss the principles of the possible deployment of UN peacekeeping forces in Donbas, Bloomberg has informed.

The parties have not yet reached an agreement on the issue of peacekeepers, Volker told reporters in Washington on Friday. "We are not in agreement on this yet," Bloomberg quoted the U.S. State Department special representative as saying.

The first meeting of Surkov and Volker was held in Minsk on August 21. The presidential aide called this meeting useful and constructive.

In early October, the second meeting of Volker and Surkov took place in Serbia. The fact of the conversation was confirmed by Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, who said that the meeting was "an indicator of the change and improvement of Serbia's foreign policy position."

Then Volker visited Ukraine on October 27-28. Within the framework of the visit, he held meetings with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy and parliamentarians.
