Over the past day, the militants have fired on Ukrainian army positions 22 times, resulting in the wounding of five Ukrainian servicemen and one killed military man, the press center of the ATO headquarters reported.

"Over the past day, illegal armed formations violated the ceasefire regime 22 times, as a result of five of our defenders were injured and one was killed. In turn, the ATO forces applied weapons 12 times in response," the report says on Facebook page on Friday morning.

In the Luhansk sector, the militants fired small arms and grenade launchers on the Ukrainian positions in the villages of Krymske, Novozvanivka and Novotoshkivske. The invaders also used 120mm and 82mm mortars in the vicinity of the town of Popasna, as well as infantry fighting vehicles on the village of Troyitske.

In the Mariupol sector, the Ukrainian fortified positions in the villages of Pavlopil and Vodiane came under enemy's mortar fire in the evening. In addition, the militants opened fire from grenade launchers and small arms three times on the village of Talakivka.

At about 20:00 Kyiv time, the Russian occupation forces started firing mortars, grenade launchers, and heavy machine guns for about 90 minutes on the Ukrainian fortified positions near the town of Avdiyivka, which is in the Donetsk sector. As a result of this shelling, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded.
