Donetsk regional governor complains to Hug about environmental threats, 'harvest truce' breaches

Pavlo Zhebrivsky, the head of Donetsk Regional Military-Civilian Administration, spoke about the continuing 'harvest truce' breaches and environmental risks in Donbas during his meeting with Alexander Hug, first deputy chief of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Special Monitoring Mission (OSCE SMM).

"I said that militants continue firing on Ukraine-controlled territory using prohibited weapons despite the announced 'harvest truce'," Zhebrivsky said on his Facebook account on Monday.

Zhebrivsky also said he had again told SMM officials about the environmental risks arising in Donetsk region. "I said that Ukraine has no way of monitoring and influencing the environmental situation on occupied territory, and therefore we can only hope for the international community's support in this issue," he said.

According to earlier reports, a group of OSCE SMM observers led by Hug are taking a trip on the M-03 Svitlodarsk-Debaltseve motorway on Monday.
