Russia's war against Ukraine is offensive against united Europe, including against Poland

A joint statement of the seventh meeting of the Ukrainian-Polish Partnership Forum, which took place in Kyiv on June 3, stresses Poland's unwavering support for Ukraine amidst the Russian aggression and the desire of the parties to act in a spirit of partnership and unity.

"We note that our substantive discussion took place in a constructive, frank and benevolent spirit that reflects a firm intention to mobilize all the necessary forces to strengthen the vitally important partnership between Ukraine and Poland," co-chairs of the Partnership Forum, Head of the Centre for East European Studies of the University of Warsaw Jan Malicki and Ukrainian journalist Vitaliy Portnykov said in a statement published on Portnykov's Facebook page.

"We emphasize that Poland unwaveringly supports the defense and security of Ukraine, which continues to experience aggression from Russia. The war launched against the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine is an offensive against the whole of the united Europe, including against the freedom of Poland," the joint statement reads.

The parties noted that the dialogue focused on specific cooperation projects, the main goal of which is to establish mutual support, knowledge and real solidarity between the Ukrainian and Polish peoples. The forum participants discussed the events in the social, scientific, educational, economic and other areas, as well as in the affairs of youth exchanges.

They agreed on the Forum's patronage over important bilateral initiatives, in particular intellectual readings, exchanges, educational and scientific projects.
