The three crewmembers and two passengers who were killed in the crash of a Mil Mi-2 helicopter near the town of Malynivka not far from Kramatorsk on Sunday were Ukrainian Armed Forces officers, Defense Ministry official Andriy Lysenko said.

"Three crewmembers and two passengers were killed. It has been determined that the helicopter crashed after hitting a power line. All five victims are Ukrainian Armed Forces officers," Lysenko said in Kyiv on Monday.

The conclusions on the crash of the helicopter as a result of a collision with a power line were drawn by a commission that worked on the site: examining the helicopter debris and talking to eyewitnesses, he said.
