GUAM member states agree on mutual recognition of customs procedures – Groysman

The GUAM member countries (Georgia-Ukraine-Azerbaijan-Moldova) have agreed on mutual recognition of certain customs procedures.

The relevant protocol on the mutual recognition of certain results of customs procedures in relation to goods and vehicles that travel through the state borders of GUAM member countries was signed by representatives of the countries of the organization in Kyiv on Monday.

Before signing the document, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said: "It is important that we will sign today a document that will determine the deepening of our cooperation between customs bodies. Of course, when we talk about a free trade zone, we must have very qualitatively coordinated work of our customs bodies, and this protocol, it seems to me, will be a very good step when we will recognize the customs procedures of our countries in cooperation."

According to the prime minister of Ukraine, mutual recognition of customs procedures will promote the growth of trade between the countries.
