Klimkin condemns attack on Houses of Parliament in London

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin has condemned the attack on the Houses of Parliament in London and expressed his support to its victims.

"Strongly condemn heinous attack at UK parliament in London. Our thoughts are with the victims and their relatives," Klimkin wrote on his Twitter page on Wednesday.

Earlier on Wednesday, March 22, British media reported that a car ploughed into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge in central London, killing one woman and injuring about a dozen other people. Reports also say the car then crashed into the railings at the Houses of Parliament, where the attacker got out and stabbed a police officer. The attacker was reportedly shot dead.

Some media say there may be two attackers.

The London police said they treat the incident as a terrorist attack.

The Ukrainian consul in the UK is checking if any Ukrainians were hurt in the incident in London.
