Poroshenko appoints diplomat Kyzym as ambassador to Belarus

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has appointed Ihor Kyzym as Ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus.

"Appoint Ihor Yuriyovych Kyzym as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Belarus," the presidential decree says dated February 16, published on the website of the president on February 20.

Kyzym, born in 1961, is a Ukrainian diplomat. He was a Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine to the United Kingdom (2014-2015).

Poroshenko called back Ukrainian Ambassador to Belarus Mykhailo Yezhel in April 2015. Valeriy Zhyhun was appointed Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine to Belarus.
