Inspectors from Ukraine, Denmark and Canada to inspect Russian military units in Rostov region

Ukraine, Canada and Denmark are planning to carry out an inspection on the territory of Russia from January 16 until January 19 in accordance with the Vienna Document dated 2011 year, in particular paragraph nine on measures to strengthen confidence and security, spokesman for the Defense Ministry for ATO matters Oleksandr Motuzianyk has said.

"An inspection team is expected to include two representatives from Ukraine, one representative from Canada, and one - from the Kingdom of Denmark. The specified area in the Rostov region of Russia, which is immediately adjacent to the state border of Ukraine, is to be inspected," Motuzianyk said at a briefing in Kyiv on Sunday.

According to him, within the framework of the inspection it is planned to obtain information from the commanders of Russian troops, a helicopter overflight and check of the land in the specified area on the presence or absence of military activity, which should be subject to prior notification.

Motuzianyk noted that an official report will follow the results of the inspection and the OSCE participating states will be notified of its results.
