The number of problems arising with the work of the OSCE observers in eastern Ukraine is growing in recent years, OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier said on Thursday.

Zannier said at a meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Hamburg that the number of cases of harassment and intimidation of OSCE observers is growing in eastern Ukraine.

He said that the cameras, installed by OSCE observers, are constantly under attack: the equipment is forced out of action and destroyed.

Zannier said that he welcomes the courage of the observers, who are doing everything possible to ensure peace and alleviate the living conditions of people in conflict zones.
