Kyiv reported on the most recent losses in Donbas: two Ukrainian soldiers were killed and five injured.

"As a result of the hostilities, two Ukrainian servicemen were killed and another five injured in the 24 hours," Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Andriy Lysenko told at a press briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.

Two soldiers were killed in a shelling in the village of Slavne (the Maryinka district, the Donetsk region) and another two soldiers were injured there, according to Lysenko. Still another two servicemen sustained injuries near the Avdiyivka industrial zone and one soldier was injured in Pyshchevyk, he said.

In the Luhansk sector, the regime of calm was violated three times when Kyiv's adversary used artillery in the Stanytsia Luhanska district, Popasna and Krymske, Lysenko said.

In the Donetsk sector, 80% of the shelling hit the Avdiyivka industrial zone. The latest one lasted without interruption for three hours. Kyiv's adversary used mortars in all the episodes recorded there, Lysenko said.

Fourteen mortar shells fell on the village of Luhanske. The entire Donetsk sector saw seven instances of violation of the ceasefire in the 24 hours, Lysenko said. Of those, five involved the use of heavy weapons, Lysenko said.

In the Mariupol sector, in addition to Krasnohorivka and the Pavlopil-Shyrokyne section, the opposing side conducted a number of shellings targeting Novomykhailivka, Slavne, and Pyshchevyk. The adversary employed mortars, cannons, and infantry fighting vehicles. In total, 27 instances of violation of the ceasefire were recorded in the Mariupol sector over 24 hours, including 11 cases that involved the use of heavy weapons, Lysenko said.
