Kuchma suggests analyzing DPR, LPR "exchange" lists for accuracy

Leonid Kuchma, who represents Ukraine in the Contact Group on the settlement of the situation in Donbas, said he believes there is a need to analyze the lists of people that the self-proclaimed DPR and the LPR want to be exchanged.

"In the first place, we need to look into the 'list of 600' because a tentative analysis shows that there are murderers and all kinds of other people on it. And they generally have no relation to this zone. They include everyone, representatives of all Ukraine, so to speak. There is a need for an analysis," he told reporters in Dnipro on Friday.

Kuchma said Ukraine is indeed ready to meet the self-proclaimed republics halfway, but "if today is said that there will be an exchange tomorrow, it's not so."

Vasyl Hrytsak, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), said earlier on Friday, that the SBU is determining the procedural status of each of the 618 people who are on the list provided to the Ukrainian authorities by representatives of some areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
