Kyiv to warn Moscow: No polling stations for elections to Russian Duma can be set up in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has instructed Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin to inform the Russian leadership that no elections to the State Duma are possible in Ukrainian territory, presidential press secretary Sviatoslav Tseholko said on Facebook on Saturday morning.

"The president has instructed the foreign minster to inform Moscow that Russian elections cannot be held in Ukrainian territory," Tseholko said.

The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada issued a statement on Thursday to urge the international community to refrain from any involvement in monitoring the elections to the State Duma on September 18 and not to recognize their results in temporarily occupeid Crimea and Sevastopol under any circumstances.
