Groysman demands launching e-declaration on Sept 1

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman demands to launch e-declaration of officials' assets on September 1, 2016 and threatens with dismissals for the failure to launch it.

"My goal is to launch e-declaration from September 1. I demand this," he said, opening a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

"There is no other date," he said. He warned of personal responsibility of people who are authorized to launch e-declarations.

The prime minister said that according to the internal inspection the results of which he has received, the government has the right to punish head of the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NACP) Natalia Korchak.

"It is not a goal for me to give you a reprimand. The goal for me is the launch of e-declaration," Groysman said.

"If [e-declaration] is not launched on September 1, I do not want to frighten anyone, but dismissal is the smallest thing that could happen. Today I will sign all the required instructions," he said.
