Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko has accepted the resignation of Viktor Nosenko from the post of the prosecutor of Chernihiv region.

"Yes, he has resigned," the press secretary for the prosecutor general, Larysa Sarhan, told Interfax-Ukraine.

The Prosecutor General's Office started to investigate in mid-July the accusations made by Radical Party Leader Oleh Liashko against Prosecutor Nosenko. Liashko accused Nosenko of concocting criminal cases against his associates.
