The government backed proposals of Information Policy Ministry of Ukraine to amend the sanction list gave it fore review to Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).

Recommendations include a proposal to amend and supplement appendix 1 of the NSDC decision dated September2, 2015 "On application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)" that came into force under the president's decree as of September 16, 2015.

The list is to include certain Russian media figures who regularly spread anti-Ukrainian propaganda and issue false information about the events in Ukraine.
