Top priorities of Ukraine's Finance Ministry in 2016 are the completion of the tax reform, reforming public finances and holding transparent privatization, new Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk has said.

"The completion of tax reform, public finance reform and transparent privatization. This is not a full list of what should be done, but these are top priorities for this year," he said at the conference "Week of Structural Reforms" in Kyiv on April 18. The event was held in honor of (deceased Georgian businessman and reformer) Kakha Bendukidze

Danyliuk said that the Finance Ministry also will focus on developing schemes that would help to resume restoration of Ukrainian infrastructure.

He said that the ministry was and plans to be a leader in reforms in Ukraine.

"Macroeconomic stabilization that has been achieved is an important achievement and it should be retained, despite current risks," Danyliuk said.
