Sister of Ukrainian parliamentarian and pilot Nadia Savchenko, Vira, has urged Ukrainian authorities to inform in public on a course of the talks concerning exchange and release of hostages.

"I'm calling to Ukrainian politicians acting through top figures, president as well, to get used to give press conferences and to tell about agreements achieved firsthand," she said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.

Savchenko has said she wonders how the talks are running in Minsk after Russian President Vladimir Putin's claims that he came to a common stance with Ukrainian counterpart on the variants of swap of hostages "all for all."

Vira Savchenko reiterated that he sister declared a second hunger strike, which has been lasting for two weeks. The previous one lasted for 83 days.

"Nadia launched her second hunger strike, this is her second hungry New Year," she said.

However, despite the whole situation, Nadia still continues her work as Verkhovna Rada member writing deputy inquiries to address concerns of ordinary people.
