Tourist flow from Ukraine remains one of the most important for Egypt, and the Ministry of Tourism of Egypt has transferred the Ukrainian market from the jurisdiction of the Moscow office to the office in Prague, the director of the department of the CIS states and Eastern Europe in the Egypt Ministry of Tourism has said.

"Previously we coordinated work in the Ukrainian market from our office in Moscow. This was justified, given the fact that the flow of tourists from Russia amounted to 3 million people per year, while the number of tourists from Ukraine was 450,000 people. However, we've passed the Ukrainian market to the jurisdiction of our office in Prague, which is responsible for nine European markets and operates a tourist flow of almost 800,000 people," he said at a meeting of the Tourism Press Club, organized with the support of TUI Ukraine travel agency.

The official said that the transfer of the Ukrainian market, which generates more than half of the tourist flow in the region, to the management of the office in Prague is primarily due to the factors of logistics, as well as the fact that the location of an office in Kyiv would have created problems in obtaining visas for staff to visit other countries in the region.
