Kyiv City Election Commission schedules mayoral election runoff for Nov 15

Kyiv City Election Commission has scheduled the second round of the mayoral elections in the capital city for November 15.

The municipal election commission issued a relevant resolution at its meeting in Kyiv on Friday.

The commission has also established the official results of Kyiv mayoral election, which took place on October 25. According to the protocol of the commission, incumbent mayor Vitali Klitschko came first with 353,312 votes (40.6% of the vote).

MP Boryslav Bereza, leader of the Rishuchi Hromadiany (Resolute Citizens) Party, came second with 77,029 votes (8.8%). He is followed by former Mayor Oleksandr Omelchenko with 73,725 (8.5%), Batkivschyna Party representatives Volodymyr Bondarenko with 68,460 votes (7.9%); and Samopomich Party representative Serhiy Husovsky with 67,197 vote (7.7%).

In addition, representative of the Svoboda Party Oleksandr Myrny got 38,218 votes (4.4%); representative of the Opposition Bloc Oleksandr Puzanov scored 36,486 votes (4.2%), leader of the Movement for Reform Party Serhiy Dumchev 34,117 (3.9%); and leader of the Democratic Alliance party Volodymyr Hatsko 24,086 (2.8%).

Also, UKROP party nominee Hennadiy Korban got 22,737 votes (2.6%), and Nash Kray representative Volodymyr Makeyenko 4,207 (0.5%).
