The Donbas situation was relatively calm over the past day yet a number of armed provocations were staged, the army operation press center reported on Monday morning.

According to the report posted on the press center's page on Facebook, Ukrainian positions near Shyrokyne came under small arms fire at 10:55 p.m. while Ukrainian positions near Novotroitske were attacked by use of small arms in the period from 0:35 a.m. to 0:37 a.m.

The Ukrainian army honored the Minsk agreements and did not return fire, the press center said.
