The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) has imposed sanctions against some charity funds in Russia, the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported on Thursday.

The press service said that SBU initiated this as the funds are involved in financing illegal armed groups of DPR and LPR terrorist organizations.

"The list of organizations to which personal special economic sanctions and other restrictive measures applied includes charity funds: Yekateryna Hubareva's charity fund, Global Initiatives, New Martyrs of Christ, Svoih ne brosaem and Veche NGO," the press service said.

These funds were on the list of companies on which the sanctions are imposed. The list was posted on the website of the Ukrainian president.
